Supercrowd Privacy Policy

Last update: May 21, 2018

Thanks for using Supercrowd! Here we describe how we collect, use, and handle your personal information when you use our website and services (“Services”).

What we collect, and why

We collect and use the following information to provide, improve, and protect our Services:

Account information. We collect, and associate with your account, the information you provide to us when you sign up for an account (like name and email address).

Your login information. When you connect external services (like MailChimp or Hubspot) to our Services, we collect and store login information to be able to interact with the external service on your behalf. Please note that we never see nor store your passwords directly, but retrieve access tokens from the external services which are encrypted and securely stored in our Services. Deleting a connection in our Services means we also delete the login information.

Data about your users. When you connect an external service (like MailChimp or Hubspot) as a data source, we collect information about your users within that service to allow you to use that data to create audiences within our Services. This means that you can only connect external services for which you have the users’ consent (or other legal basis) to share their data with our Services. Moreover, the same goes for activating audiences built within our Services on external services. Deleting a connection in our Services means we also delete all the data about your users.

Usage information. We collect information related to how you use the Services, including actions you take in your account (like connecting to external services and building audiences). We use this information to improve our Services, develop new services and features, and protect Supercrowd users.

Cookies and other technologies. We use technologies like cookies and pixel tags to provide, improve, protect, and promote our Services. For example, we use cookies to remember you between visits and to understand how you use our Services, to be able to improve them based on that. You can always set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services.

Marketing. We will, from time to time, send you information about upgrades and updates to our Services when permissible. Users who receive these marketing materials can opt out at any time.

We sometimes contact people who do not have a Supercrowd account, but never without a consent, either directly or via a third party. If you receive an email and no longer wish to be contacted by Supercrowd, you can unsubscribe and remove yourself from our contact lists via any message sent from us.

Bases for processing your data. We collect and use the personal data described above in order to provide you with the Services in a reliable and secure manner. We also collect and use personal data for our legitimate business needs. Should we ever need to process your data for any other purposes, we would ask for your consent beforehand.

Sharing data with third parties

We may share information to subcontractors as discussed below, but we will never sell it to advertisers or other third parties.

Supercrowd uses trusted third parties (for example, providers of customer support tools and IT infrastructure) to help us provide, improve, protect, and promote our Services.
